Value addition to By-products

There are primarily three by-products produced in refining i.e. gums, soap-stock and fatty acid distillates. All these by-products can be processed further by below processes

Gums Drying / Lecithin

Gums which are removed in Water degumming stage, pose a critical disposal problem. To overcome this, gums can be dried and converted to Lecithin.

Soap-stock Acidulation

Soap mixture generated in neutralization stage contains soap, neutral oil and traces of free alkali. It is stored in a storage tank and sent further for splitting.
